Felt Roofs
Felt is a durable and affordable flat roofing solution for many UK residents. It is suitable for a range of roof applications such as Garages, Sheds, Outbuildings and Roof Terraces.
We recommend felt roofs use a three-layer application method for the most reliable and long-lasting results. If you’re looking for a low maintenance roof material, felt may be the most suited option for your roof.
If you’re unsure on what material is best suited for your roof, one of our flat roof specialists will be more than happy to advise you on the best material available to suit your requirements.
We tailor our roofing services to your property and budget needs. We are a trusted, professional, and trained company dedicated to the highest standards in flat roof installation and repairs, with many years’ experience.
Our felt flat roofs are made from high-quality polyester and applied with a torch-on three-layer method to ensure durability and leak resistance. The first layer is nailed down, and then two further layers are torched down using a cross bonded pattern.

FAQs about our felt roofing service
Our customers often ask for advice about our services, so we have put together a list of the most common questions:
Costs will vary depending on several factors such as the size of the roof, what roofing material is chosen to cover the roof and the length of time and the materials needed to complete the job. No two felt roofing jobs are the same. Contact us and we will be happy to provide a free site survey and a no obligation quote.
Felt roofing is largely made up of modified bitumen combined with either fibreglass or polyester. Felt roofing often consists of several different layers of material that form together and are sealed at the edges, resulting in a tight and durable bond between your property and the outside elements.
There are several methods of applying a felt roof to a building, but the more common technique in modern times is to use a blowtorch to partially melt one side of the felt until it is sticky. This side is then stuck down.
The quality of the material selected for the roof and which way the roof faces in relation to the sun will determine this. On average, most good systems will last over 20 years.
This is not 100% necessary. New high-performance felts have a granular mineral finish to the top layer which acts as UV and Solar protection.
There are approximately twenty, ranging from basic Standard 2mm felt to High Performance Polyester 6mm cap sheets.
